Laura H. Mathis

Laura Mathis is a graduate of NYU's Department of Art History, and recieved her MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art in 2014. Her particular areas of research interest include Dutch, Flemish and Italian painting of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the art of Federico Barocci, nineteenth century Scandinavian and Symbolist painting, as well as female painters and patrons of the early modern period.​ She is currently Vice President, and Specialist, Head of Sale in nineteenth century European painting at Christie's.
